ONGOING COAT AND CLOTHING DRIVE!

 by Alison L Mayo

Good evening,
Thanks to the generosity and love of the people in New Hampshire's Strafford and Rockingham counties and Maine's York county, HCH has had a very successful coat and clothing drive this year! We placed donation boxes in participating businesses in areas frequented by those who have fallen into hard times and need a helping hand... The boxes have been filled with jackets of all sizes!

If in need, you can still call Help!ComeHome! at 1(603) 422-6448. Have a great night and wonderful week... Godspeed!

SW Florida!

Hello One and All,

The Charity, as you well know, has traveled extensively this year into communities across America. We recently spent some time in Southwest Florida, partnering with St. Matthew's House and The Salvation Army in their Marines Toys For Tots Program. The St. Matthew's Volunteer division is headed up by Donna Martin, Head Coordinator for Volunteers, and Ronnie Sopena, a Coordinator in the fields. The Salvation Army is headed up by Major Director Dan Proctor and Maria Ramos, Head Coordinator for Volunteers. Thank God for their wonderful hearts. They are pivotal in keeping these huge operations run like a well-oiled machine. To learn more, please go to www.stmatthewshouse.org and www.salvationarmyflorida.org! =-) Pictured below, left to right: Donna Martin, Major Dan Proctor (with HCH volunteer Antonio Peppers), Ronnie Sopena, and Maria Ramos!

ARE YOU PREPARED?

Good Evening America,
I pray this message finds everyone well or at least ok... We have so much to be grateful for everyday of our lives before The Lord as we walk in the liberty and the freedoms we have had and sometimes take for granted in this country. In light of the sad tragedies that have been happening around the globe to our neighbors in these end times, please stop and think about your own lives, the lives of those you love as well as of your communities... Would you be prepared if you were suddenly confined to your home or dwelling place? Or if you had to help someone on the spot? Or if pandemonium suddenly broke out because of a terror cell? Please store extra water, camping lamps, flashlights, batteries, candles, and medical kits in your cars and houses; wood for the fire place; handi wipes; canned goods and dried fruits in canning jars; indoor electric burners; etc... The list goes on and on... Those who are without, my prayers are for you all that you will be helped by the kindness of Charities, Shelters, and Strangers... To get a full list you can go to www.surviveanydisaster.com.... My prayers go out to all... God Bless...

September Update

Good Evening America!
A few of our board members recently completed a journey across the US to help various communities and individuals in need. You can read more about the trip in the posts below! The work is endless... We're in the process of finalizing our agenda for the fall and winter months as we transition into the next outreach phase. I know many of you have been waiting to hear about our emergency trip to Navajo Nation in response to the Colorado River chemical spill this summer... Please check our calendar and visit our website for updates about this trip, our annual coat drive, Thanksgiving food baskets, and other upcoming events! Have a wonderful night!

The Work Moves Onward!

Help!ComeHome! has been quite busy this summer helping folks with food, clothing, and shelter, and offering words of prayer and strength. HCH has also been busy helping the every day homeless who can't seem to catch a break on the street! We have been working both in New England and across the country in various states, meeting with and helping out the poor, the homeless, and the weary... Since mid July, HCH has ventured into Indiana, Illinois, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, and California to name a few! =-) My prayer and hope is that wherever you may be, if you find that you have any extra of anything, please donate to your local charities... I ask this in Jesus' Name... or just in The Name of Goodness and all that it embodies... I thank those who continually have supported and helped in these endeavors... Peace...

Preparations for August Yardsale!

Hi Everyone!

Help!ComeHome! is getting ready for its second huge yard sale to be held in Kingston, NH this coming August, 2015. We will post the exact dates before the end of July. I would like to give a special thanks to all the local businesses with whom we have partnered to bring aid to so many! Recently, the owner of All Levels Construction, Mr.Joseph Reynolds, laid aside time in his busy schedule to work with us. He and one of his employees, Tony Almedo, gave a much needed hand of brotherly kindness in aiding HCH to move heavy items from Portsmouth, NH to Kingston, NH in preparation for the event. HCH member and field tech Lexus Reyna also helped with the move. Great thanks, guys and God Bless!!! If you are in need of contractor who promotes a humble code of fairness and excellence in his work, go to www.alllevelsconst.com Thanks and Godspeed.

Busy Days in Jesus Name!

Hello, America!

The charity has spent the greater part of last month until now quietly helping folks, introducing the charity to towns and cities who have not yet heard of HCH, and working on the Water Project in both the Southeastern US and New England. We are also in the midst of preparations for our major journey to Navajo Nation! If you have free time in your life, why not volunteer with one of the many beautiful charities across the country? To have extra hands is beautiful and priceless and always needed! Thanks so much for your time and please take care!

God Bless...

HCH Appreciates Local Seniors!

Last week, Help!ComeHome! sent two of its volunteers to Edgewood Manor, a nursing home in Portsmouth, NH.  Lynnette Nicholas and Mark Shelton spent a sunny Saturday afternoon talking and laughing with Edgewood Manor residents.  These seniors often spend their days alone, with little to no contact from their families. The residents genuinely appreciated the company of these cheerful HCH volunteers who provided spirited conversation, vibrant energy, and an overall welcome change of pace. Jack was especially appreciative of the visit; his conversation with Lynnette Nicholas about his native Naples, Florida brought tears of joy to his eyes! Never underestimate the power of a few kind words or gestures. In Jesus' name, we encourage everyone everyone to reach out to their senior communities, friends, and family members alike!

Water Project Update!

Hello One and All!

HCH has been very busy working on The Water Project. Volunteers and Field Techs have and still are visiting businesses in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey! They have visited a variety of places from food pantries, restaurants, and Salvation Armies, to firehouses and car dealerships! Many friendships were forged along the way! Any of the businesses and organizations who have offered their help in storing water for emergency crises have AMAZING HEARTS. We truly thank you for thinking of your town and you neighbors!!!! God Be With You!!! (photos include NY Salvation Armies; NY firehouses; shelters; one of the most gracious beings in Englewood, New Jersey with Joann Sullivan; Joan Grzenda; Luz Galeano; Latoya Edmonson, an employee at Boomerangs in Hackensack, NJ; and a gentleman named Ernesto Reyes Rodriguez who simply needed help.) We have met so many more who are interested in the project!!!!

The Innocence Project: Campaign for Justice

Hello one and all! Our Chairwoman recently attended a private function in NYC for the Innocence Project at the invitation of a Founder's Circle member. It was at the home of George and Tamiko Soros and, needless to say, very enlightening and truly life-changing! This nonprofit, spearheaded by Attorney Barry Scheck, Peter Neufield, and Maddy Delone, works tirelessly in God's strength to free all who have been imprisoned falsely around the world, through the use of DNA.  The organization also works to create reforms needed to protect innocent Americans from wrongful persecution and incarceration. To learn more or find out how you can help, go to www.innocenceproject.org.

Thanks and Godspeed!

The Water Project and the Navajo Reservation

HCH volunteers will testify that our country’s First Americans, the Native Americans, face some of the most horrifying circumstances. On the Navajo reservation, decades of uranium mining have taken a heavy toll. Radiation exposure and water contamination have increased cancer rates and triggered a slew of respiratory diseases. These communities also desperately need adequate food, clothing, dental care and medical attention.

Along with far too many Americans, the Navajo people have extremely limited access to uncontaminated drinking water. In response, HCH volunteers have launched the The Water Project, which aims to provide these communities and individuals with access to clean water. The project involves partnership with local businesses who will 1) store HCH-provided water on their premises in case of a community emergency, 2) help purchase water, or 3) make a donation.

Business willing to provide storage space for water may also help provide and store additional care packages, toiletries, dry products, and other non-perishable items.

Before God, we hope to provide communities with enough water and care packages to sustain them in the event of a national emergency or natural disaster. Along with HCH, other charities and organizations throughout America will work to ensure the protection of US citizens and Native Americans.

This project will be a major undertaking, as we plan to cover not only the the Navajo Reservation, but as many communities as possible throughout the United States. We urge you to donate your help in whatever way you can, whether to this charity or another. Thanks and God Bless.
